Terms of Service
Last updated: July 16, 2026
1. Who we are
Rebellion Image Optimiser ("the Service") is operated by Rebellion Systems ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@rebellionsystems.com.
2. What the Service does
The Service converts and compresses images (such as JPG and PNG files) into the WebP format. Conversion happens entirely in your web browser on your own device. Your image files are not uploaded to, stored on, or processed by our servers.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address to register.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid features are offered as an annual subscription, billed in advance.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it in violation of applicable law. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the images you process.
6. Your content
Because conversion happens on your device, we do not receive, store, or claim any rights over your images or the converted output. What you make with the Service is yours.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and improving, but we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have subscribed to, we will offer a fair, pro-rated remedy.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this site or by email to account holders. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
